Jacob was 9 years old and in the 4th grade at Cordelia Hills Elementary School when he was diagnosed with AML. He was 10 when he passed away on June 1, 2017.
In his spare time he loved building Lego sets, playing Minecraft and collecting Pokemon. An avid reader, Jacob has completed the Harry Potter book series!
Jacob comes from a very large Filipino family and loved playing with his brothers, sisters and cousins. Two marrow donors were found for Jacob, but not in time for him to have a transplant. His disease progressed to the point that a transplant was no longer an option. Registering as a marrow donor could help save a life, but it is crucial that a committed donor is found as soon as possible.
