Katy sufferd from acute myeloid leukemia. She just turned 3-years-old. She loves Disney, unicorns, running around and playing. A search for Kathy’s donor was challenging because she is multi-racial, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Caucasian. Her most likely donor will be Asian and Caucasian. Unfortunately no donor was found for Katy and her disease was progressing. The family decided to go with a haploidentical transplant, using her fathers stem cells.
Katy is home and doing well!
