My son, Knowah, a 7-month old angel, is a sweet blessing given to me and my husband this year. Ever since Knowah was born, we have been in and out of the hospital. At first, not even the doctors and specialists could figure out what was wrong and why Knowah’s immune system is failing and why his blood platelet and hemoglobin count are very low, Knowah requires weekly blood transfusion. After several months of on-and-off confinement, it is to our deep sorrow that when the blood test results came in, Knowah was diagnosed with Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome (WAS). My son is Filipino and is in need of a matching marrow donor.
