Marco Ocbena

Marco was an ambitious 27-year-old was an engineer and had dreamed of one day marrying and having many children. He was diagnosed with ALL in February 2007 and was informed he was in need of a bone marrow transplant. After a search of the registry turned up no matches, Marco received a partial-match transplant from his brother in February 2008. In June 2008, Marco passed away from complications from his transplant. Marco’s legacy remains through all the donors who registered in his name.
