Octavia is 42 years old and has worked at Kaiser Permanente as and ER Tech for over 18 years. She is all too familiar with emergencies and all of the emotions that go along with critical care. She was diagnosed with ALL (leukemia) in November 2015 and needed a marrow donor to help save her life.“I have so many plans, I enjoy travelling, shopping and dancing. I really want to raise awareness, in the African American community, about the need for more committed marrow donors. I want to finish schooling get my RN to be a social worker case manager. Now, Octavia can do all that she is driven to accomplish. Octavia received a transplant in July. We wish her a speedy recovery.
