Would I be able to donate bone marrow/stem cells as a 20 y/o Sino-Khmer woman for Sophia even if she’s Khmer-Laotian? And would it be possible to send the donation across the border since I live in Canada? Yes, you could be considered for Sophia. Once you join the Registry, you could potentially match anyone in the world, not just Sophia. Canada has their own registry and you will need to register with them https://www.blood.ca/en/stem-cell/onematch-information-new-registrants . You will not be able to register her in the US. The Canadian Registry will be searched as well for Sophia and other searching patients.
